HVAC Commissioning

TFT offer a comprehensive service for the Testing, Balancing and Commissioning of HVAC systems by qualified and experienced Engineers in accordance with BSRIA, CIBSE and ASHRAE codes of practice. Testing and Balancing involves the adjustment and balancing of HVAC components to ensure that both the Design and Specifications are met. The commissioning team work closely and in conjunction with all contractors to identify and correct any problems at the installation phase that might affect the testing and balancing.

Testing and Balancing is not only carried out on new installed systems. TFT recommends that re-balancing be carried out after the following:
• When any HVAC equipment/component has been replaced
• If any maintenance personnel have adjusted any of the control settings
• After cleaning of the system
• If any of the building has been altered internally for different usage
Testing and Balancing of an existing building/system can be performed wherever there is a reason to believe the system is not functioning as designed or records do not reflect the actual system operation.

On completion of the Testing and Balancing, a full report is produced providing a complete and accurate record of the installed equipment and performance test sheets which are placed within the Operating & Maintenance Manual
